Love one

Some times we take life for granted. Even with ower love ones. We should always let know that you love your love ones. Dont waist your time in fighting or getting mad for dum small things in life. We never know what we have until is no more in this earth. Love with all your heart, forgive with all year heart, and say your sorry even if is not your fault. But the most important of all just say that you love that one and dont wait when is too late.

Opening an Etsy Shop!

So finally I opened a little shop in Etsy where I can sell my Baking Specialties. My sister, owner of the Esty Vidalbuttons shop was always pursading me to open shop and sell my creations. Etsy seems to be a very nice community where many artisans and creatives get together to sell unique things. Hopefully this venue will work for my kind of product.

This blog will serve as a platform for me to talk about the process that I use for baking my cookies and I am hoping to share toughts, comment and other methods that people use. It is always good to get some knowledge and share what you learn. I am also hoping to know fellow Etsy sellers, and any other creative individual who likes my tutorials and to get to know things from each other.




Tutorial- Creations with Fondant

One of the techniques that I love to work with when making our creations for CookiesLaCouture, is fondant. For those that are not familiar with fondant, as per Wikipedia as per, fondant is:


 is one of several kinds oficing-like substance used to decorate or sculpt pastries. The word, in French, means "melting", coming from the same root as "foundry" in English.


I decided to do a little tutorial on how to make decorations with fondant and how to get the best out of each cookies when decorating. Take a moment to watch our tutorials and any comments are more than welcome :D








First Batch of Sugar Cookies

Starting up my First Batch of Sugar Cookies for my shop was certainly a long process as we had to take pictures and videos of every step. We wanted to document every single step of the process so that we can share it with you guys in my new blog. It was lots of fun and at the end the cookies came out delicious!

 The dough was a challenge as we added from real coconut and pineapple, so it was not the right consistency but finally we got to the right point and texture.



This is when we start to mix the spices together for the Orange Spice recepie.
